Other than the splendor of the Himalayan mountains, you get to see the rhino in the National Park. You meet Nepali people and share in their culture.
Mountain bike riding in Nepal is wonderful though it is not as intense as the cycling in India. One can do about 30-40 km daily. The most popular cycling track is the Kathmandu Valley trail. You can do it in one day or take 14 full days. Pick up the trail from your hotel and set your itinerary as you prefer. The second trail is the Pokhara to Kathmandu trail that you can finish in 7-12 days. This takes you a little out of the way but not too far away from the comforts of civilization. You have simple tea houses on the way and classic scenery that is guaranteed to thrill.
Among the modern circuits for bicycle riders, we have the Annapurna trail that takes one 11+ day. This is a combination of incredible trails, fun places to stop and discover and of course, mind-blowing scenery. This is a trekker’s paradise but the bicycle trails and jeep circuits overlap it to make it a great interactive community, always brimming with life and activity.
One of the more expensive trails is the Mustang trail. This is expensive since you need a permit to go there. The culture is spectacular and the trail has more deserving natural scenery that makes the cost worth it.
